What I believe Gandhi is saying is that children are the future. The children are the ones who are going to be in control of the future. If you want to affect the future, you have to affect the people who are going to be the future. So if you want peace in the future, you have to teach the children peace.
I agree with this statement because the adults who know peace aren't always going to be there. The children they taught can teach this and teach others as well.
I think that what Ghandi meant is that one day the children of today will rule the world and control our future as well as our fate. We need to instill peace into the minds of our children to have peace when the next generation takes over.

Okay, I think that Gandhi was right on with his thinking. Children are the ones who can still change and who are still open to new ideas. His mentality towards kids being the way of the future is what many humanitarians have pursued. Greg Mortenson, the man who wrote"Three Cups of Tea" believed that if you educate children, they are less likely to join the military. This is because they would be pursuing their own dreams instead

He led a true peace-revolution. People say that wee needed the American revolution, but Gandhi and the Indian's recived freedom without violence and war.
Gandhi wants people to understand the children are the future of the world. We need to teach our children. As Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young said: "Teach, your children well Their father's hell Did slowly go by And feed them on your dreams."
We need to teach peace. Instead of teaching all the violent things we've done, we should teach the ways we've overcome the violence in a peaceful manner.

Children are gonna be the new adults of this world. Life will go on and on, like a circle. So the only way to effect this 'circle' is to tamper and teach the new 'ring' of the 'circle' which is the children. Once we do that, then when our time has come then the 'children' of our generation will be older and teach the children of the generation, and on and on. The 'circle' can be effected by not one single person, but by a whole group of people. I can change the world alone, and neither can you, but if ever one gets together and teach the children by example, then the 'circle' can be changed for ever. This is what I think he means.
